Shibai Lu

Shibai Lu (1905 - 1973) was active/lived in China.  Shibai Lu is known for Paintings.

Lu Sibai was born in 1905, a native of Jiangyin County, Jiangsu Province. 

In 1926, he studied at the Southeast University in Nanjing (the later Central University).  In 1927, he went to France.  First he studied in the Lyon Arts School, and then studied in Paris Higher Arts School.

As result of his excellent studies, he was later admitted into Rolliyon Oil Painting Institute with Laurons as his tutor.  In 1932, he returned from France and served as dean of the Art Department of the Central University.  After the founding of New China, he held the posts of dean of the Art Department of the Northwest Teachers' College.  He was also dean and professor of the Art Department of Nanjing Teachers' College.

Lu Sibai was also successively a member of Chinese Artists' Association, vice-chairman of Shaanxi Artists' Association and vice-chairman of Jiangsu Artists' Association.
