John Sabraw

John Collier Sabraw (Born 1968) is active/lives in New York, Ohio.  John Sabraw is known for Trompe l'oeil illusion, illustrator.

A painter of images that are both abstractly surreal and trompe l'oeil because they "have a hyper-meticulous clarity that abstracts them from their normal context", John Sabraw is an assistant professor in the Ohio University art department. He studied illustration at Pratt Institute, graduating in 1988 and then wrote and illustrated a children's book titled "I Wouldn't Be Scared".

He went from New York City to the University of Kansas where he graduated in 1994 with highest honors. In 1997, he received an MFA from Northwestern University and from 1996 to 1997 held scholarships from the Chicago Union League Civic & Arts Foundation.
