Miriam Vlaming (Born 1971) is active/lives in Germany.  Miriam Vlaming is known for Painting.

Miriam Vlaming, an important representative of the New Leipzig School, was born in Hilden near Dusseldorf in 1971.  In 1991 Vlaming studied educational sciences, psychology, and sociology at the Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf.  However, Miriam Vlaming was increasingly attracted to art.

From 1994-99 Miriam studied at the Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts in the class of Arno Rink, one of the great teachers of the New Leipzig School.  This time includes two years as Rink's master student.  Because their training and orientation of their work is figurative, Miriam Vlaming, just like Neo Rauch and Matthias Weischer, aligned to this New Leipzig School style.
