Otto Schubert

Otto Schubert (1892 - 1970) was active/lived in Germany.  Otto Schubert is known for Secessionist art style, stage painting.

Otto Schubert was born in 1892.  Schubert was a painter, graphic artist, illustrator, and draftsman. 

The artist studied from 1906-09 at the School of Applied Arts Dresden.  In 1913, he was a scene painter at the Court Theatre Dresden.  Schubert studied from 1913-14 at the Dresden Academy with Emmanuel Hegenbarth.

In 1918, he was a master student at the Dresden Academy, and received the Great State prize of the Dresden Academy.  In 1919, he was a  Member of Dresden group.    In 1944, he suffered the loss of his wife.  He also lost his studio in the bombing of Dresden. 

Otto Schubert was a member of the Association of Fine Artists (VBK) of the GDR, and the Dresdner Kunstverein.  He was active in Loschwitz, temporarily at Künstlerhaus.   ...  [Displaying 826 of 3386 characters.]  Artist bio
