Teresa Brzoskiewicz

Teresa Brzoskiewicz (Born 1929) is known for Sculpture.

Teresa Bzoskiewicz studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Sopot and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She is the author of numerous sculptures, including: Prometheus from the Ghetto, Banners, Anthem Warszawianka, Two Rivers, Chopin Competition. Brzoskiewicz also made several tombstones at the Powazki Cemetery. She is the author of the bust of Ignacy Domeyko located at the University of Warsaw (cast at the Universidad de Chile) and the medallion and plaque commemorating Ernest Malinowski in Lima.

In 1980, she was awarded the Medal of Merited Cultural Activist. Allegorical sculptures by Teresa Brzóskiewicz can be found, among others, in the public space of Warsaw. At Marszalkowska Street there is the Vistula and the Volga. In turn, among the residential blocks at ul. Wiosna is located at the International Airport. The latter sculpture was part of a broader program of humanization of urban space implemented in the 1970s in the so-called Osiedle Mlodych.
