Clare Yares (1924 - 2009) was active/lived in Minnesota, Arizona.  Clare Yares is known for Sculpture, jewelry, trinkets, music.

Yares, Clare was born September 4, 1924, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the eldest son of Clement Yares and Sylvia Yares (nee Kostorhryz.) He died April 2, 2009, at the age of 84, in Phoenix, Arizona, of Parkinson's disease.

Clare was a lifelong artist, a jazz musician, a pioneer in the world of early television production, a veteran of the Navy during WWII in the Pacific theatre, and a resident of Phoenix, then Scottsdale, and then Phoenix again, starting in 1950. His life as a musician started out playing the Hawaiian guitar at a very young age, graduating to the stand up bass and jazz music in his mid teens. He played professionally from around age 16 through to his late 20's.

Always a tall, skinny guy, they called him "Slim" in the Navy, where he gained some slight fame with his South Pacific band's song "I need Plasma," which drew laughs wherever they played.
