Agnieszka Niziurska

Agnieszka Niziurska (Born 1955) is active/lives in Poland.  Agnieszka Niziurska is known for Abstract symbolic painting.

In 1980, she graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in the studio of Jan Tarasin. During martial law, she boycotted official cultural life and took part in church exhibitions.

Her painting of the 1980s belongs to the so-called "new expression". A. Niziurska combined her favorite mountain motifs with representations of fire and lava: Luke's Tale (1986), Pawel's Tale (1987). Since 1995, the artist has been using mixed soil with a binder instead of paint.
