Aladar Edvi-Illés was born in 1870 in Budapest, Hungary. Aladar attended the drawing school in Budapest (with Greguss János and Székely Bertalan) and the Académie Julian.

After extensive study trips, Edvi-Illés became a professor at the Academy of Art in Budapest.

His works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions.

In particular, Aladar Edvi-Illés created rural-village scenes.
