Anne Rogers Minor

Anne Rogers Minor (1864 - 1947) was active/lived in Connecticut.  Anne Minor is known for Landscape painting.

Anne B. Rogers Minor (1864-1947) was born in East Lyme, Connecticut on April 7, 1864.  She began her study of art with her New York cousin Henry P. Smith.  She went on to study with Henry Ward Ranger, George Inness, and the Italian artist Petrella. When she married Dr. George Maynard Minor in 1895, she spent a great deal of time with her father-in -law Robert C. Minor and was greatly influenced by that association.  

She was exhibiting regularly by 1917. She exhibited at the New Haven Paint and Clay Club in 1920 and at the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts in 1917 and 1944.  She had her first one woman show at the Norfolk Museum of Arts in the Arts Corner in 1942. Forty-six of her paintings were exhibited there. Her painting Venetian Church is part of the collection of the Lyman Allyn Museum.
