Boguslaw Szwacz

Boguslaw Szwacz (1912 - 2009) was active/lived in Poland.  Boguslaw Szwacz is known for Abstract art, watercolors, painting.

In the years 1924-1930 he studied at the Krzemieniec High School. In 1939, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he became a lecturer after the war. From 1946 he lectured at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, and from 1948 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In the second half of the 1940s, he exhibited with the Young Artists Group. In 1947 he went to Paris. In Paris he joined the group "Le Surréalisme Révolutionnaire". In 1948 he returned to Warsaw. He became involved with the Club of Young Artists and Scientists. His works were presented at the 1st Exhibition of Modern Art (1948/49). He participated in almost all official exhibitions of the socialist realism period. He agreed to the concept of the so-called Ars-Horme (The Art of Moving the Imagination), original and one of the few general theories of art currently existing in Poland.
