C Kline

C. Kline is active/lives in California, Ohio / Japan, Venezuela.  C Kline is known for Landscape painting, illustration.

Caroline Kline was raised in Ohio and Venezuela, and her early life was a mix of languages, culture and art.  She studied Spanish and art history in Madrid, became the American representative to the Spanish Youth Red Cross, and then later returned to work for NATO inter-cultural relations in Italy.

The study of drawing led her in new directions, and her art was exhibited in galleries and museums in Colorado, Texas and Ohio.  She was awarded a Ford Foundation grant to the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus. OH.  In 1985 she relocated to Japan and studied painting while teaching English and working as a designer.

Settling on California's Monterey Peninsula in 1988, she studied with artists Janet and Victor DeGesu and Sam Colburn.  Her husband, Dennis Copeland, is cultural director for the City of Monterey.
