Dwight Benton

Dwight Benton (1834 - 1903) was active/lived in New York.  Dwight Benton is known for Landscape, coastal view.

Born in Norwich, New York, Dwight Benton spent the last twenty five years of his life living in Rome. He specialized in painting scenes of the city's Protestant Cemetery and served as editor of The Roman World.  He painted the Italian landscape, most notably around Naples.

1872 Cincinnati Industrial Exhibition (medal for painting in oil)
1880  National Academy of Design
