Eduardo Chillida Belzunce

Eduardo Chillida Belzunce (Born 1964) is active/lives in Spain.  Eduardo Chillida Belzunce is known for Painting, drawing, some sculpture.

Eduardo Chillida Belzunce (1964-)

He was born in San Sebastian on March 15, 1964, a son of the sculptor Eduardo Chillida and Pilar Belzunce.  He is the youngest of four brothers and four sisters.

Eduardo showed an interest in art from a very early age.  He made his first sculpture at the age of four with some clay his father gave him.  Always wanting to be an artist when he grew up, Eduardo briefly studied at the School of Arts of Deba and the Circle of Fine Arts, where he was taught by the painter Antonio López.  He also studied at the School of Arts and Trades in Madrid.

Between age 17 and 20, he sculpted in stone, alabaster, and also worked with terracotta and bronze.

In 1985, a motorcycle accident  left him in a coma for a month and a half.  Against all odds, he managed to recover his speech, to walk again and eventually, to begin  leading a normal life again.
