Italian artist and writer, Emilio Isgro is known for the artistic language of  ''erasure''.  In 1972 he participated in the Venice Biennale, where he is still in 1978, 1986 and 1993. 

A number of its holdings are in various group and solo exhibitions such as the first retrospective exhibition of his works at the Center for Communication Studies and Archives of Parma, the XIV Biennale Art of Sao Paulo (1977), the exhibition The Artist and the Book in the XX Century Italy, organized by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York (1992).
