Successful classic work, modern Czech landscape paintings together with Ivan Ouhel and Michal Ranný was one of the main successors of the Czech Republic landscape traditions personified by Antonín Slavícek, Jindrich Prucha, Jan Preisler, Josef Šíma and Jirí John.

Professor Hodonský worked in 1990 - 1997 as the head pedagogue of the Studio painting at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts art
