Geza Kadar

Geza Kadar (1878 - 1952) was active/lived in Hungary.  Geza Kadar is known for Landscape and still life painting in post-impressionist and neo-Romanian style.

The artist studied at the School of Applied Arts in Budapest and later at Simon Hollósy's painting school in Munich. He was predominantly a landscape painter but also created still life studies. He settled in Baia-Mare and his painting style was influenced by post-impressionist and plein-air direction, as well as neo-Romanian innovations. His nephew, György Vida, wrote about his life and work in "The works and life path of Géza Kádár" (Bucharest, 1993).
