Hans Rohner

Hans Rohner (1898 - 1972) was active/lived in Switzerland.  Hans Rohner is known for Painting.

The Swiss artist Hans Rohner was born in 1898 in Basel and attended the local School for Applied Arts between 1916 and 1920.  From 1923 to 1929 he worked in Munich, where he met his wife Lotte, who became his favorite model. 

From 1930 on, Rohner lived and worked in Zurich.  The artist movement ‘Der Blaue Reiter’ had a great impact on his oeuvre, as did the works by ‘Brücke’ artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, who also became a close friend to him.
