Horacio Renteria Rocha

Horacio Renteria Rocha (1912 - 1972) was active/lived in Mexico.  Horacio Renteria Rocha is known for Painting.

Horacio Rentería, whose real name was Jose Melitón, was born in Durango and was a prolific self-taught painter.

From an early age he showed faculties for the arts, mainly drawing and watercolor, the latter being the one he would perfect in his early works.

His most representative works portray various characters of society (mainly children) portrayed in the nineteenth century fashion, and incorporating various elements characteristic of the traditional Mexican environment.

Rentería had a vision of his time with nostalgic nuances of past centuries.

Horacio Renteria passed away in 1972.
