Horatio N. Peasley (Born 1853) was active/lived in Massachusetts.  Horatio Peasley is known for Painting.

Biography submitted by John Curuby, President, Boston Art Club:

Horatio Peasley was a very talented, yet unknown Artist of the turn of the 19th - 20th centuries.  He was a student of the SMFA, Boston and studied directly under John Joseph Enneking.  There were many women who studied with Enneking to learn the finer points of still-lives.  In the late 19th century, landscape painting was left to men, and Peasley was one of the very few who were accepted to study at the knees of the Boston Master.  Peasley's paintings show the vigorous and varied brushwork which are the best qualities of Enneking, and he had a very individual concept of composition and space in his works.  He was a long standing Member of the Boston Art Club and he exhibited at the Club constantly during several decades spanning the turn of the century.
