Jacques Guillaume Lucien Amans (1801 - 1888) was active/lived in Louisiana / France.  Jacques Amans is known for Portrait and genre painting.

A portrait and genre painter, Jacques Amans exhibited at the Salon in Paris 1831 to 1837, and then returned to the United States and worked in New Orleans. He died in Paris in 1888.
