Jean Bouchaud (1891 - 1977) was active/lived in United States, France.  Jean Bouchaud is known for Drawings reflecting traditional attitudes and costumes of Indochina.

Jean Bouchaud was a pupil of the Académie Julian and painter Harpignies. He traveled through Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam until 1925, where he was deeply fascinated by the customs and mores of the people he discovered.

Bouchaud's drawings reflect the serenity that breathes in his work and translate the ethnographic concern of the painter who has constantly paid attention to traditional attitudes and costumes.
