Jean Didier Debut

Jean Didier Debut (1824 - 1893) was active/lived in France.  Jean Debut is known for Sculpture.

Jean Didier Debut was a pupil of the French sculptor David d'Angers.  He had his first exhibition at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris in 1848.  In 1851 he was awarded the second 'Prix de Rome'.  Debut has created numerous small sculptures and figures as well as statues in the public sphere, for example for the Hôtel de Ville or the Opéra Garnier in Paris.

His son, Marcel Debut (1865-1933) is also known as an artist in the field of painting as the sculpture. He died in his Paris home
