Jim Murray (James) Hautman

Jim Murray (James) Hautman (Born 1964) is active/lives in Minnesota.  Jim Hautman is known for Wild animal in landscape, dogs and birds.

Jim Hautman's work has been displayed in the Oval Office of the White House, the Smithsonian Institution, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum, and in public and private collections throughout the world. In 1990, he became the youngest artist ever to win the prestigious Federal Duck Stamp* Competition. He won again in 1995, when his mallard painting received a first ever perfect of 25.

In 1991, he was commissioned by the Australian Government to paint its Federal Duck Stamp, and was named Ducks Unlimited* International Artist of the Year. Jim's original artwork, his name and a likeness of his studio were used in the Academy Award winning movie Fargo.  In 1999, Jim tied his own record by winning the Federal Duck Stamp Competition with another perfect score.
