Jin Dai

Jin Dai (1388 - 1462) was active/lived in China.  Jin Dai is known for Scroll painting.

Dai Jin, also known as Wenjin and Haojingan, was a native of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. He lived during the Xuande Period (1426~1435) in the mid-Ming Dynasty. Dai Jin was a painter who copied the fine and rich paintings of the Tang and Song Dynasties. He was known for his landscape paintings in the style of Ma Yuan, Xia Gui, Guo Xi, and Li Tang, as well as Taoist interpretations, figures, landscapes, flowers and fruits, feathers, animals, and Buddha statues. His paintings were vigorous and lustrous, and he was the founder of the "Zhejiang School". Dai Jin had a great influence on painting in the mid-Ming Dynasty.
