Milne died in 1978, at the age of only 47.


Biography from Roseberys

John Milne was part of the St. Ives school of Modern artists, whose work was inspired by Barbara Hepworth, who he worked for as an assistant, alongside other artists including Denis Mitchell. He was recently the subject of a major new biography 'Queer St. Ives and other stories' by Ian Massey.
