Jordi Pagans Monsalvatje

Jordi Pagans Monsalvatje (1932 - 2017) was active/lived in Spain.  Jordi Pagans Monsalvatje is known for Painting.

Painter and draughtsman, Jordi Pagans trained with Josep Roca Sastre, in whose workshop he assimilated impressionist and cubist concepts. He was a member of the group Visual Reality. He worked on landscapes and still lifes, using a wide range of techniques. In his oil paintings the gestural modulation of volumes and forms stands out, as well as the Mediterranean conception of light. 

He held his first individual exhibition at the Sala Municipal de Girona, followed by others at the Ateneo in Barcelona, the Sala Vayreda and the Peritxol gallery, both also in Barcelona. He has been awarded the Villa de Centelles Prize, the María Trías de Palamós Prize and the Royal Circle of Barcelona Prize, and is represented at the Reina Sofía Museum and the museums of Valls, Vilafranca and Vilanova i la Geltrú.
