Julius Friedlaender

Julius Friedlaender (1810 - 1861) was active/lived in Denmark.  Julius Friedlaender is known for Interior, biblical.

Julius Friedlænder gives us an insight into the teaching practice of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He describes a collection of plaster casts grouped around Bertel Thorvaldsen's sculpture of Countess Osterman-Tolstaja (1815), which was drawn from during the day. In the evening, the students drew from male nude models under artificial lighting.
