Manuel Cusi Y Ferret

Manuel Cusi Y Ferret (1859 - 1922) was active/lived in Spain.  Manuel Cusi Y Ferret is known for Realism, still life, figure, portraiture, genre painting, intimate scenes.

The artist's name is Manuel Cusi Y Ferret. He was an outstanding exponent of the Catalan realist school who studied at the Escuela de La Lonja in Barcelona and completed his training in Paris in the late 1970s. He was born in Spain and was from Catalonia. He painted in different genres, including still life, the figure, portraiture, genre painting, and intimate scenes. 

He was an official portraitist and painted Alfonso XIII for the Diputación Provincial de Barcelona. He exhibited for the first time in 1880 at the Sala Parés in Barcelona and showed his work regularly at the Casa Vidal and the Sala Parés. He also presented his works at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Madrid and was awarded the third medal at the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona in 1888. Cusí is represented in several museums and private collections.
