Michael Stoffa

Michael Stoffa (1923 - 2001) was active/lived in Massachusetts.  Michael Stoffa is known for Still-life, marine, and portrait painter.

The following is from Ken Baebel, whose source is material from the 80th Anniversary Edition of Artists of the Rockport Art Association dated 2001 (page 134).

"He trained at Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts, Pennsylvania Academy, and Art Student League.  A member of Jardin del Artes, he was titled 'King of the Street Painters' in Mexico.

Stoffa was President of Rockport Art Association, 1985 - 1989.  Other memberships: North Shore Arts Association and International Society of Marine Painters. 

His work is exhibited at the Canojoharie Art Museum, Michael Stoffa Gallery (Rockport, MA) and in collections throught the US and abroad. 

He authored the book, Michael Stoffa, Artist and Storyteller."
