Mikhail Aleksandrovich Kokine

Mikhail Aleksandrovich Kokine (1921 - 2009) was active/lived in Ukraine, Russian Federation.  Mikhail Kokine is known for Sunlit landscape and floral setting painting.

Michael Kokin was born in Dnepropetrovsk (The Ukraine) in 1921.  After a series of art exams he was admitted to the Kiev State Institute of Fine Arts, where his advanced art education lasted a full six years.

Kokin graduated from the Fine Art Department in 1954 with a degree in oil painting. He received the highest grade on his diploma work and was automatically accepted into the Artist Union, which is considered to be the most elite group of artists in the rigidly structured Soviet society.

A member of All-Union Artist Association, Kokin is an active participant of most national art shows, exhibitions and auctions. His paintings are represented in private collections in the former Soviet Union territories, as well England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada and the United States.
