Morton Rachofsky

Morton Rachofsky (1930 - 2019) was active/lived in Texas.  Morton Rachofsky is known for Geometric sculpture.

Morton Rachofsky was an innovative sculptor with a passion for creating rearrangeable and geometric works of art. As a businessman and inventor, Rachofsky’s analytical and mathematical background inspired his approach to sculpture.

Rachofsky received a BBA from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Graduate School of Business. After serving in the United States Army in Korea, Rachofsky began a fifty-year career in real estate that would provide him with an outlet for his interest in architecture and geometric structures.

While pursuing his passion for art in Dallas, Rachofsky studied alongside sculptor Octavio Medellín (founder of the Creative Arts Center of Dallas) at the Dallas Museum of Fine Art and later alongside sculptor James Surls at Southern Methodist University.
