Nashar

Nashar (1928 - 1994) was active/lived in Indonesia.  Nashar is known for Painting.

Nashar (Pariaman, 1928-1994), Born in Pariaman, West Sumatra, October 3, 1928.

He studied painting under Affandi and Sudjojono. He help established the Institut Kesenian Jakarta (IKJ, Jakarta Arts Institute) where he became a lecturer. In 1979 – 1992 he was a member of Dewan Kesenian Jakarta (Jakarta Art Committee).

He has participated in exhibitions of the Festival of Indonesia (USA, 1990 – 1992), the Gate Foundation (Amsterdam, Holland, 1993) and several places in Indonesia. He left his figurative paintings to fully paint in abstract style until his deceased in April 13, 1994.
