Patrick (Hinds) Swazo

Patrick (Hinds) Swazo (1929 - 1974) was active/lived in California, New Mexico.  Patrick Swazo is known for Abstract Indian motif painting, silkscreen.

The following is courtesy of Pauline Ward of Toronto, Canada:

Born March 25, 1929 at the Tesuque Peublo, New Mexico, Patrick Hinds became a teacher, lecturer, silk-screen processor, and after 1958, a full-time painter working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and printmaking.  He used a variety of techniques including palette knife, oil on paper, dry brush, soft brush with spatter and mixed media.

Hinds lived in Berkeley, California where he attended St. Mary's College High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea.

He became the adopted son of Dr. Norman A.E. Hinds, honorary member of Tesuque Pueblo and Professor of Geology at the University of California for 45 years.   ...  [Displaying 709 of 1227 characters.]  Artist bio
