A Canadian painter, Pauline Thibodeau Paquin was born in Sainte-Monique, Quebec (about 75 miles east of Montreal) and lives in Sainte-Adele, Quebec (about 50 miles north of Montreal). Her mediums are oil paint and acrylics. Her primary subjects are children at play. Her style could be described as Fauvism* or Naive Art*. Examples of her works are in the collections of the University of Alberta Museums, Edmonton and the Maison Saint-Gabriel Museum, Montreal.

I've often been told that my paintings smile and yet very rarely do you see the faces of my children, first of all because I don't like to dwell on details, and especially because they better represent all the children of the world, not just some of the individuals here." (1)
