Pierre Amedee Marcel-Beronneau

Pierre Amedee Marcel-Beronneau (1869 - 1937) was active/lived in France.  Pierre Marcel Beronneau is known for Painting.

Born in 1869 in Bordeaux, where he began studying Pierre Amedee Marcel-Beronneau soon moved to Paris where he trained at the School of Decorative Arts in 1890, and the Fine Arts in the class of Gustave Moreau from 1892. This double initiation is felt immediately in his work that unites the influence of ambient Symbolism, the mythological world of Moreau and a keen sense of design. The early works of Beronneau as well as those of George Desvallières are heavily indebted to the master street art of La Rochefoucauld. In 1897, Pierre Amedee Marcel-Beronneau exhibited at the last Salon of the Rose + Croix, with much of its congeners Moreau workshop. His work is so very close to that of Maxentius or first Rouault. His personality claiming he remains true to similar themes of Symbolism (Sappho, 430, Leda, No. 441, Orpheus, No. 436, fauns No. 432 and 440) and religious subjects (n ° 434 , 435 and 437) which it however provides a strong pictorial and dynamic very personal composition.   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1866 characters.]  Artist bio
