Rey Milici

Rey (Reynard) Milici (Born 1942) is active/lives in Connecticut, Massachusetts.  Rey Milici is known for Super-real townscape and marine painting.

Having earned a reputation for photo realist New England scenes, Rey Milici continues to do Realism but in 2006, says that for the last seven years he has been softening the edges somewhat and is less concerned about concealing brushstrokes.  While living in Northampton, Massachusetts, he did many neighborhood scenes and landscapes, which he described as being "a little voyeurish", but later, having been influenced by his brother, who loves sailing, focused more on water scenes.  He is very interested in atmospherics---the time of day and light---as well as color and texture.
