Roger Cantin

Roger Cantin (1930 - 2018) was active/lived in Canada.  Roger Cantin is known for Old city images, streets, houses, marine, shorelines and rural scene painting.

A French Canadian painter, Roger Cantin was born in Quebec City (April 28, 1930) and appears to have lived near there his entire life and died there (May 31, 2018). His primary mediums were oils, watercolors and acrylics. His best known subjects are images of the old city such as street scenes, old houses, rural scenes, boats and shorelines; as well as still lifes, interiors and portraits.

His style could be described as Expressionism*, Fauvism* or Modernism*. His askART record has dozens of excellent illustrations of his oeuvre.
Our sources say he turned to painting in 1964 after graduating from Les École de Beaux-Arts, Quebec City, and had his first exhibition in 1966.
