Saverio Terruso

Saverio Terruso (1939 - 2003) was active/lived in Italy, Brazil.  Saverio Terruso is known for Abstract painting, teaching, graphics.

Saverio Terruso (Monreale, 11 January 1939 - Milan, 3 March 2003) was an Italian painter.

Biography
He attended the School of Art in Palermo and moved to Milan, following the courses of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, where he graduated. In 1963, with a series of solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy, he began his artistic growth, which saw him work with artists such as Guttuso, Sassu, Fiume.

He has taught painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo and at the Academy of Carrara. From 1979 he became a professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan. Starting from 1985 he has set up a series of exhibitions in the main Brazilian cities, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre with great success.
