Shih Chiao Li

Shih Chiao Li (1908 - 1995) was active/lived in China.  Shih Li is known for Painting.

Shi Chiao Li (1908-1995)

Born in Shinchuang, Taipei.  Li Shi-Chiao studied painting under Ishikawa Kinichiro.  After graduation, he went to study at  the Tokyo Fine Art School.  He had earned his living by drawing portraits.  In 1948, he moved to Taipei, and set up a studio to teach art.  In 1992, the Li Shih-Chiao Museum was established, where more than 400 of his paintings are included. 

Influenced by the Wai Guang School, he arranged painting surface with dark and light, as well as many layers of unexpected rich colors.
