Shizeng Chen

Shizeng Chen (1876 - 1923) was active/lived in China.  Shizeng Chen is known for Landscape painting.

Chen Shizeng, also known as Hengke and Shizeng, was a Chinese artist born in Jiangxi Yining (now Jiangxi Xiushui). He studied in Japan to study museums and later became a teacher in Nantong, Changsha, and other schools. He was an editor and reviewer for the Ministry of Education and a professor in Beijing Higher Normal School and Beijing Art College. Chen was known for his seal carving, calligraphy, landscape painting, and flower painting. He had a pure and honest behavior and liked to reward younger artists. He passed away in Nanjing
