Eugene Bourgoin

Eugene Bourgoin (1880 - 1924) was active/lived in France.  Eugene Bourgoin is known for Sculpture.

Although little is known about Eugène Bourgouin's biography, it is known that he was educated at the Ecole des Arts Appliqués in Reims, but at the age of 18, thanks to a scholarship, he moved to Paris, where he studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs et des Beaux-Arts. 

He was later awarded the Grand Prix de Rome*. He was an excellent portrait painter, notably the portrait of the film director Preston Sturges. He was also the author of numerous designs for goldsmiths and invented a new material, Gallia Metal, for making jewellery, as shown at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
