Henry Robinson Hall

Henry Robinson Hall (1859 - 1927) was active/lived in England, United Kingdom.  Henry Hall is known for Landscape, Highland cattle painting.

Henry Robinson Hall (English, 1859-1927, fl. 1895-1902) noted Victorian and Edwardian landscape painter in oils and watercolors, primarily known for his scenes of Highland cattle, as well as other landscape paintings. Hall was born to Eliza Robinson in the City of York in 1859 and his name was initially registered as Henry Robinson, but his mother subsequently married John Storey Hall in August of 1867, hence the change of his surname to Robinson Hall. He moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, in northern England where he studied at the North British Academy of Arts and was involved in the artistic community there. By 1885, he was residing in Flyde, in Lancashire, where he married his wife Mary Annie Bleasdale. The couple later moved to Barrow in Furness and then Coniston in Cumbria, where he maintained his studio and also ran an artist's supply shop and cafe.
