Rudolf Hafner

Rudolf Hafner (1893 - 1951) was active/lived in Austria.  Rudolf Hafner is known for Landscape painting.

Rudolf Hafner studied painting at the Academy in Munich under Ludwig Herterich. After WWI he traveled to Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Italy, and Germany.

In 1917, Hafner exhibited his first work at the Vienna Künstlerhaus, where he was a full member from 1939 onwards.  He created mostly landscapes and vedutas, which he showed in over 40 exhibitions.  Besides painting, Hafner worked as a stage decorator for the Burgtheater in Vienna and the Schönbrunner Schlosstheater.

Hafner has been honored with several awards.  His works can be found in the Albertina in Vienna, the Niederösterreichisches Landesmuseum, and in various municipal collections.
