Lionel Possum Tjungurrayi (1972 - 2019) was active/lived in Australia.  Lionel Tjungurrayi is known for Aboriginal painting.

Lionel Possum is the son of Clifford Possum and Emily Nakamarra. He returned to painting after a long period of alcoholism. A serious accident put him in hospital for several months, enabling him to stop drinking. It wasn't until two years after his father's death that the tribal elders allowed him to resume his father's dreams. The fact that he was sober again was a strong incentive for him to paint his tribe's ancestral stories.He has undoubtedly inherited his father's talent. He is much more meticulous and takes a long time to complete his compositions, which are therefore very rare.
