Meishu Li

Meishu Li (1902 - 1983) was active/lived in China, Taiwan, Province of China.  Meishu Li is known for Painting; figure and landscape.

Born in Taipei, Lee graduated from Taipei Teachers College. (Predecessor of the National Taiwan Normal University)  He then, went studying in Tokyo Fine Arts School.  His works had been selected into Taiwan Exhibition and Fu Exhibition.  
He had participated in establishment of Tai Yang Fine Arts Association.  In 1947, he was in charge of the restoring and design of Sanhsia Tsushih Temple.  In 1950, Lee was elected as councilor of Taipei County.  He gave lecture at Chinese Culture College (Predecessor of the Chinese Culture University) and National Art College (Now the National Taiwan University of Fine Art) where he originally found Department of Sculpture and served there as a director.
