Short Biography of Philip Paval taken from the flysheet of his autobiography 'Paval Autobiography of a Hollywood Artist' (Gunther Press 1968 (Library of Congress Catalog No. 68-57212))

'Philip Paval was born in Denmark, educated as a Gold and Silversmith and graduated from the Technical School of Art. He settled in Hollywood where he maintains a studio a gathering place of artists, bohemians, actors and writers.

Paval has contributed much to the development in the field of art. He is Past President of the California Art Club, Scandinavian Art Society, American Institute of Fine Arts, and is a member of the Museum Association.'

His work is in seventeen museums in the USA, Denmark, England France, Germany, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Vatican, Rome, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Ecuador, Austria, New Zealand and Australia.
