Alexander Dallas Bache (1806 - 1867) was active/lived in California, Rhode Island.  Alexander Bache is known for Survey/expedition artist.

Alexander Dallas Bache was born on July 19, 1806 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Alexander Bache graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1825.

As a member of the Coast Survey, he arrived in San Francisco in September 1849. While in California, he sketched and painted from San Francisco to San Diego.

He died in Newport, Rhode Island on Feruary 17, 1867.
