Carl Dorrbecker, also Karl Dörrbecker, was born in Frankfurt in 1894. Dorrbeker attended the arts and crafts day school in Frankfurt with Professor Luthmer. Dorrbecker was also a student of Wilhelm Altheim and studied at the Städel Academy with Professor Andreas Egersdörfer. He later studied at the Munich Academy with Max Doerner. Carl Dorrbecker remained active in Frankfurt.Dressler and Internet.
