Esquipula Romero de Romero (1889 - 1975) was active/lived in New Mexico.  Esquipula Romero de Romero is known for Portrait, landscape, genre.

Born in Cabezon, New Mexico, Romero de Romero settled in Albuquerque in 1904 and became a successful billboard painter and operator of an advertising company.

In the mid 1920s, he began devoting himself to fine-art painting in a social-realist style, and by the 1930s, he had local reputation for landscapes, portraits, and depictions of the Penitentes. Working for the WPA, he also did a number of murals including for the Old Bernadillo County Courthouse.

In 1936, he left Albuquerque and traveled extensively in Latin America.
