For half a century, Grace Zaparata and her husband, Sebastian, lived quietly and frugally in a tiny Rockland Township cottage adjacent to the Sally Ann Furnace mansion.

People knew Grace only as a popular teacher's aide in the Jewish Community Center in Reading for nearly 30 years, retiring in the mid-1980s.

What they didn't know was her past, and the art treasures stored with her memories at the cottage.

Grace died in 1995 at age 87. Sebastian passed on last fall at age 92.  Their attorney, Gerald P. Sigal, asked Fleetwood auctioneer George V. Miller IV to gather and sell their effects.
